How should I handle insurance companies after an auto accident?
Whether it's your own insurance company or the at-fault driver's insurance company, they are going to have questions about the auto accident. They're going to want to know the what, how, and when of the accident. Also, they're going to want to know how you are feeling. Did you seek medical treatment? Are there medical bills? What are the extent of your injuries?
It's best practice to give the adjuster your vital contact information and tell them you are not prepared to answer their questions if you aren't. Later, you can state everything you want to, your own way, in your demand letter. If you are unsure how this claims process works, then you should consult an attorney.
Should I accept a settlement offer from the insurance company?
Insurance companies will often make an extremely low offer right away and settle the case before the injured party knows the full extent of their injuries. Remember, the insurance adjuster is not acting on your behalf! Their job is to settle auto accident claims with as little money spent as possible on behalf of the insurance company.
If you are uncomfortable negotiating with an insurance adjuster, or you don't feel that you are getting just compensation for your injuries caused in an auto accident, then you should consider hiring a Florida auto accident lawyer.
Driving a vehicle without insurance is illegal, but even if the at-fault driver in an auto accident has insurance, it might not be enough coverage to pay for all of the medical bills, pain and suffering and other auto accident damages. Uninsured or underinsured motorist protection might be included in your our auto insurance and could help cover the difference.

Do I need to hire an attorney for my auto accident?
Not every auto accident claim requires the use of an attorney. Claims that involve only personal property damage can probably be settled on your own. However, it doesn't hurt to consult with an attorney. You need to protect yourself in case injuries manifest later. We offer free auto accident consultations and we'll help you find the right attorney even if we can't take your case.
